FEATURED COMPANY - UK Container Maintenance (UKCM)

UK Container Maintenance (UKCM) is a family run refurbishment company offering mobile and factory repairs and refurbishments to all sizes of waste containers.

Waste companies and Local Authorities have huge volumes of capital and resources wasted by being tied up in waste and recycling containers in need of repair. With a capacity to refurbish over 50,000 containers per annum, UKCM strives to give our customers these valuable assets back; offering guaranteed quality of service with quick and efficient turnaround times and first class quality and finish at a fraction of the cost of buying new.

Providing our customers with a fully inclusive repair and refurbishment programme is at the forefront of our company, and includes the following process:

  • Collection service
  • Steam cleaned
  • Shot blasted
  • Welded
  • Reshaping
  • Spray painted
  • New parts supplied and fitted conforming to BS EN 840
  • New logos supplied and fitted
  • Quality controlled compliant with BS EN ISO 9001
  • Delivery service

UKCM also specialise in the modification and conversions to all types of waste and recycling containers. They have recently used reconditioned glass banks to redesign Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) banks for Cheshire West & Chester Council’s new recycling initiative. The pioneering scheme reiterates UKCMs message of lowering costs and maximising existing containers potential through reusing and refurbishing.

UKCM also supplies refurbished metal containers, plastic containers, spare parts and signage/logos.

With over 13 years experience, the UKCM has gained extensive knowledge within the Waste and Recycling Industry, enabling them to identify and appreciate the needs of the market.

Over the years, and especially in the current economic downturn, UCKM has recognised the increasing reliance on releasing capital within the industry. Many companies and local authorities have huge volumes of capital tied up in redundant assets such as unused machinery, vehicles or unavailable yard space due to storage of unwanted containers; by selling these assets, they can regain much needed capital.

Understanding that finding a buyer of such assets can be both time consuming and costly, with little assurance of a sale, UKCM has found an innovative solution to allow companies and authorities to sell and buy assets with more certainty and ease – introducing BinBay.co.uk

Bin Bay is built upon a simple concept of bringing both buyers and sellers to a central location in order to maximise awareness between both parties. It has been designed to provide an efficient and effective service to all within the Waste and Recycling Industry; creating a one stop ‘online’ shop for all waste related requirements, including buying, selling and/or advertising anything from redundant assets to new or existing products and services.

BinBay.co.uk is a clear and easy to use website, built using a basic auction format to enable easy site navigation for all users. There is no limit to what can be sold on Bin Bay and as a result, there is a broad selection of items available; ranging from a bin castor, to a refuse vehicle, to an industrial plot or unit. Bin Bay promotes re-use & recycling, and is intended to encourage all companies and authorities to sell any unwanted waste related items regardless of their condition – don’t scrap it, sell it.

Registration is free to all users, and offers a professional service dedicated to supporting both buyers and sellers. Bin Bay strives to attract a wide variety of potential customers to the site; vetting all registered sellers for the protection of the buyers, offering competitive commission rates, no buyer surcharge and ensuring maximum exposure for sellers’ items by sending regular newsletters to all email subscribers.
